Build A Better Future

Co-founded and operated as a family owned business, Trumark Construction Inc. was established with the vision of not just building more homes and completing new projects, but with the intention to build a better future through creating, building and giving. Create

to invest in or cause something new and unique to exist.

We choose to create because we want to invest in and cause something new and unique to exist. This extends beyond projects and buildings to collaborating with our community and world to address the needs around us. Check out some of our creative additions and remodels for inspiration and build a better future.

“The discipline of creation, be it to build, paint, compose, write, is an effort towards wholeness.” – Madeleine L’Engle

Build

to develop by integrating components into a composite whole.

We take great pride in the opportunity to develop and enhance both structures and relationships. We bring a holistic mindset to every project, relationship, and partnership with the goal of integrating existing components into a composite whole for an expansive result that did not previously exist. Take a look at at our custom home builds showcasing quality workmanship.

“Our lives will become our greatest works of art not only when our relationships are a beautiful expression of love, acceptance, and intimacy, but when we have a deep sense of purpose that produces accomplishments that express, success and significance.” -Erwin McManus

Give

to share a portion and provide generously for a superior result.

Our highest priority is to have a positive impact on the quality of people’s lives. We believe that love grows through sharing and that we can make lives richer through the gift of providing generously for others to build a better future.

“Don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes pleasure in these acts of worship—a different kind of “sacrifice”—that takes place in kitchens and workplaces and on the streets.” (Hebrews 13:16 MSG)

Meet The Team

Todd Fitzpatrick

Co-founder, Creator, Builder, Business & Logistics

Todd is known for his strategic mindset, strong ethical compass, financial stewardship and passion for ensuring excellence in every project. His ability to turn problems into opportunities for growth has distinguished him over the years as a General Contractor. Todd graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Business and Logistics and has held leadership and management positions in both academic and business settings.

Todd entered into the construction world on a whim when friends from his grandparent’s church invited him one summer to help assist during the building of their home. He immediately loved the sights, sounds and smells of the construction site and knew that he was created to build. His construction experience literally began from the ground up with hands-on every phase of the building process. Out of college, the door opened for Todd to gain experience in the field as a Contractor Salesman where he built relationships and began learning the ins and outs of the construction industry. A transition into mechanical contracting grounded him in the key principles of firm foundation building and ensuring the integrity of the inner workings of a building. His love of creating brought him back into the field as a framer and later remodeling and building homes. Then a move to the Pacific Northwest afforded him the opportunity to work with high-end spec and custom home builders and large production framing crews. Expecting their first child, and a move back to Tennessee, Todd’s gifts of vision and creativity and love for business, planning and logistics carried him into the world of General Contracting.

For the past 25 years, he has worked in both residential and commercial construction settings where he has built a solid reputation in the community as a reliable and trustworthy builder. Todd has deep respect and appreciation for the opportunities and shared knowledge he has been afforded over the years and carries this intention with him in every interaction and project he is privileged to be a part of.

Todd’s vision of building a better future starts at home where he prefers to be when he isn’t working. He is humbly leading his family in integrity, responsibility and excellence and loves spending time listening and encouraging them in their adventures. He has served as both vice-president and president of the Kingsport Home Builders Association and was awarded Builder of the Year in 2021.

Amy Fitzpatrick

Co-Founder, Creator, Coordinator, Giver

Amy grew up in a family of creators, builders and givers. Her grandfather was a Master Carpenter that built in Southwest, VA, Eastern TN, Baltimore, MD and Sarasota, FL over the span of 80+ years. As a farmer, he also knew the lessons of sowing and reaping and was known for his generous “over-sowing” and sharing of the abundant harvest. He planted both physical and spiritual seeds of giving in his family and left a legacy that continues to impact future generations. Amy’s brother followed in their grandfather’s footsteps and has spent the last 30+ years using his gifts as a creative and builder. Amy loved to visit her brother on the job site and grew up watching her family live as providers to those in need while stewarding their resources and land so that others could live better lives. These influences imparted the love of building and the gift of giving to Amy who believes everyone should have the opportunity for a better way of living. She considers the development of relationships and property a sacred trust, and an open door for future growth in the community and generations to follow.

Naturally, when Amy met Todd 25 years ago and he was building houses, she immediately felt at home. Being together as a team in marriage, parenting and business has become the most meaningful work and has challenged them to stay the course as they get to fulfill their mission and purpose in life. Amy leads project coordination and client relations and is the interface between clients and our team of subcontractors. She helps clients dream, plan and design their dream home and works with the Trumark team to execute and deliver those plans in the field.

When Amy isn’t helping Todd, she loves being with her kids and encouraging them to do what they love. As a nutritionist and yoga teacher, Amy also has a passion for empowering people to nourish mind, body and spirit so they can live healthy, whole lives. Her favorite way to spend free time is teaching yoga, gathering to eat with family and friends, and helping others care for themselves.
